Creating the next generation of leaders is our greatest joy as faculty members. We recognize the urgency of developing students with a strong identity as children of God, founded in the gospel, to be mobilized for His purposes. We carry en excellence in humility, integrity, and communication as foundational attributes to raise up leaders.

As we respond to the exhortation of Paul in his letter to the Ephesians to raise students in the Paideia of the Lord, we recognize that equipping students with a biblical worldview in all subject matters fulfills the scriptural disposition of spiritual, and intellectual development.

Qualifications

A qualified candidate will:

  • Demonstrate a strong desire to fulfill the mission and vision of Legacy Academy

  • Carry a compassion for student learning that motivates them to serve with all excellence

  • Have more than one year of experience leading children

  • Have a desire to problem-solve, and transform to meet the needs of the students, families and school as they arise

  • Have a consistent history in serving, and being accountable to the body of Christ

  • Demonstrate professional and excellent administrative and communication skills

In addition, an ideal candidate will:

  • Have three or more years leading students educationally

  • Have obtained a bachelor’s education degree from an accredited college or university

Primary Responsibilities

Legacy Academy teachers will:

  • Partner with the Lord in His purposes for the school, students, and families through prayer and intercession

  • Fulfill the vision of the school by fully loving students with mercy, grace, forgiveness, and celebration, and fully challenging students through rigorous academic achievement and discipline

  • Intentionally develop and cultivate an identity in students as children loved by the Father.

  • Create and teach engaging and challenging lessons that are aligned with grade-level and subject-specific TN State Academic Standards

  • Monitor and document student progress through formative and summative assessments, and feedback.

  • Be available to unite with parents in the development of their children

  • Consistently contribute to the culture of Legacy Academy
